Full packing: the calm way to move a family home
Most of the stress of moving is not the lorry, it is the weeks of packing beforehand. With full packing, our team arrives before moving day and packs the house room by room: kitchens, wardrobes, books, ornaments, pictures and the things that live at the back of cupboards.
You keep living normally until the last moment. We set aside anything you need for the final night, and everything else is wrapped, boxed and labelled ready to load.
Part packing: help exactly where it counts
Many clients are happy to pack clothes and books but would rather not wrap a dinner service or a gilt mirror. Part packing covers just those rooms or items. It is the most popular choice for people who want professional care on their fragile things while keeping the cost sensible.

How we pack fragile items
Fragile items are wrapped individually, cushioned so they cannot move in the box, and boxes are kept to a weight that can be carried safely. Plates travel on their edge, glasses are wrapped separately, and heavier items go at the bottom. It is simple discipline, done consistently, and it is what keeps breakages away.

How long does packing take?+
It depends on the size of the home and how much there is. We agree the timing at your free survey, and for larger homes packing usually happens the day before the move.
Can you just pack the fragile items?+
Yes. Part packing is designed for exactly that: we wrap and box the china, glass, pictures and fragile pieces, and you pack the rest.
Do you supply boxes?+
Yes, removal boxes are available whether we are packing for you or you are doing it yourself.
Do I need to be at home while you pack?+
It helps to be around at the start so we can agree anything that should not be packed, but you do not need to watch every box.
Do you unpack as well?+
Ask us at your survey. We will talk through what help you want at the new home and include it in your quote.
Is professional packing worth it?+
For most family homes, yes. It saves days of work, keeps boxes a safe weight, and fragile items packed by the team who move them are far less likely to be damaged.
What should I pack myself?+
Keep jewellery, passports, important documents, medicines, chargers and anything you need for the first night with you. We can pack almost everything else.
Can you pack for storage as well as the move?+
Yes. If some belongings are going into storage, we pack and label them separately so they are easy to find later.
