Book a free survey. It's the only way to get an accurate quote, and it lets your removal team spot access issues early.
- Arrange an in-person or WhatsApp video survey
- Decide whether you want full packing, partial packing or to pack yourself
- Ask about storage if there's any chance your dates won't align
- Start a list of items that need special handling, such as pianos, antiques and artwork
Four to six weeks before
This is the right time to declutter. Everything you don't move is time and space saved on the day.
- Sort lofts, garages and sheds
- Book any furniture dismantling you'll need
- Notify schools, GP and utilities of your move date
- Measure large furniture against doorways in your new home
Two to three weeks before
Begin packing the rooms you use least. Label every box with its room and a short description.

Moving week
Once exchange has happened and the date is fixed, confirm the final plan with your removal team.
- Defrost the freezer the day before
